Prep for PD&C Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving Boilermakers!

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Purdue Dining & Catering wants to celebrate with you guys here at your “home away from home.” We know that many students will be returning home for this holiday to spend the next weekend with their families, so we are excited to host our annual Thanksgiving Dinner at all of the Dining Courts on Thursday, November 16th, the week before Thanksgiving. Although our Thanksgiving meal is a little over a week away, everyone here at Purdue Dining & Catering is working hard to prepare the perfect meal for all of our students and visitors.

Now although we’re sure you love the traditional three hour ride to Grandmother’s house, and the usual Thanksgiving spread, we’re cooking up some new things this year . While all of the traditional Thanksgiving foods will be served at each Dining Court, different varieties and flavors of these dishes will be offered at all of the different Dining Courts. Each one will have turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, pumpkin pie, and other favorite foods served every year.

Heath Browning, Executive Sous Chef at Hillenbrand Dining Court, is ready to go with the vegetarian-friendly menu planned out for Hillenbrand, along with preparing and taste-testing dishes.

This year, Hillenbrand specifically will be serving up these tasty variations of traditional Thanksgiving food:

  • Citrus glazed turkey
  • Pumpkin and Mushroom Risotto
  • Fall Salad with Cabbage, Craisins, Apples, Pomegranate seeds, and Scallions
  • Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake
  • Stuffing
  • Rolls
  • And much more!

We hope you enjoy your meal, time with family and friends, a break from school, and remember to have a happy Thanksgiving!
