Giving to Purdue Dining & Catering on Purdue Day of Giving allows us to provide scholarship awards to our fantastic student employees. One such award is The Sarah Johnson Outstanding Student Employee of the Year Award, given each year to the employee with the greatest reliability, quality of work, initiative, teamwork and contribution to Purdue Dining & Catering.
Robert Komis, a Student Success intern, won this prestigious award in 2017. Below is his statement for how the experience of working with PD&C and receiving the award has aided his education.
Robert:
“I am unable to find the appropriate words to properly express the immense feeling of gratitude to be bestowed the honor of the Sarah Johnson Outstanding Student Employee of the Year Award. I am truly blessed to work for a wonderful organization that enables students to develop themselves beyond the classroom, and one that recognizes the hard work of its student employees. The award money enabled me to follow my dream of becoming a pharmacist by helping offset the cost of my graduate education. I am beyond grateful for the support and recognition that Purdue Dining & Catering gives to its students.”
