Interviewing STEPS
Employment verification documents are required to complete the hiring process. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to accept copies of these documents. Those who do not keep these documents with them on campus may wish to obtain them early in the process to avoid delays in beginning a new job.
Note: All student associate interviews will be virtual.
Submit Availability
Send a PDF of your class schedule, noting any additional commitments such as club meetings or other job schedules, to dining-pdchiring@purdue.edu at least one day before your interview. For instructions on submitting your schedule correctly, read below.
We ONLY accept the schedules with the correct format, so please follow the instructions below.
Finding & Submitting Your Schedule
- Log in to your MyPurdue portal
- Go to the ‘Register for Classes’ section and select ‘scheduling assistant’
- Select the term schedule you would like to view, i.e., Spring 2024
- Select ‘Time Grid’, you should now see your student schedule
- In the top right corner, select ‘print’, and a printing dialogue box should appear
- Under ‘destination’ or ‘printing location’, select ‘save as PDF’ with a layout of ‘landscape’
- Name the file with your full name, the term you are applying for, and the year, i.e., ‘Sarah Andrews Fall 2025’
- Email your schedule to dining-pdchiring@purdue.edu 24 hours prior to your interview.
The Central Hiring team will discuss your availability and work hour preferences during your interview.
Please make sure to send us your schedule in the correct format 24 hours before attending your interview to ensure that the hiring process runs smoothly.

If you need to reschedule, please always refer back to your latest confirmation email to reschedule.
Note: If you are not sure about your availability for an interview, please do not sign up for multiple spots.
If there are no interview times that match your availability within the next two weeks, please contact the Central Hiring team at dining-pdchiring@purdue.edu. Please provide three dates/times you are available.
Prepare
Take a few minutes before the interview to test your technology and gather your thoughts. You should receive a confirmation email after signing up for your interview that you can use to join on the day of your meeting.

Interview
To begin your interview, click the link to join the Teams meeting in your confirmation email or in your Outlook calendar. If you are running late for your scheduled meeting time, email your interviewer to let them know.
Next Steps
If you meet our qualifications, you will be given an offer of employment. After the interview, you will receive a “New Hire Wizard” email from Purdue HR. If you do not receive this email within 2 business days, please let us know at dining-pdchiring@purdue.edu.
