Alysa Garriott is a Junior planning to graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. She is from Chesterton, Indiana, which is less than 10 minutes away from Indiana Dunes State Park! Alysa aspires to use her degree to become a Child Psychologist. She’s always had a heart for children, especially children with autism. Currently, Alysa is a Student Manager at The Sagamore and has worked for Purdue Dining & Catering since freshman year. Part of her job includes the management of student employment from conducting meetings, scheduling, and knowledge of all job functions.
Why did you choose to work for PD&C?
“I wanted a convenient job that was on campus but one where I had opportunities to improve and advance my skills.”
What has PD&C taught you thus far?
“I’ve learned that work can be enjoyable. I’ve made some good friends through my job. The Sagamore has also taught me communication skills and how to multi-task.”

“This past summer did a study abroad program to Belize. I got to experience the amazing culture, spend time on the island, and explore the rainforests!”

“Backpack through Europe.”
