Kyra Howell is the Catering and Beverage Coordinator for Purdue Dining & Catering. She has worked for PD&C for two years! Kyra was chosen by boss Kyla Howard in recognition for Kyra’s hard work and dedication to PD&C. She is originally from Brook, Indiana, just about an hour and a half northwest of Lafayette.
What opportunities has PD&C given you?
“I’ve been able to take classes and receive certifications in addition to moving up in roles of greater responsibility. I’ve also met some amazing people.”
What are the top five things to know about you?
- I have two wonderful daughters
- I’m eagerly planning my wedding for August
- I love to clean
- I have a cat (Shadow) and a dog (Nala)
- I’m obsessed with TV show Friends
What is your favorite season and why?
“Summer because it’s warm! Plus, my birthday is in July and who doesn’t like the 4th of July? I love all the cookouts and fireworks.”
Are you working on any projects at home?
“Planning for the wedding.”
What is the greatest bit of advice a parent or mentor has ever given you?
“You should always make sure your credit score is good.”

“Brian Gutridge.”
