Thea Calalang is a Brand Ambassador for Purdue Dining & Catering. She has worked with PD&C since the Fall of 2016 where she started at The Gathering Place. Thea is currently a sophomore in the Animal Science Program and aspires to go to Veterinary school after graduation to obtain a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). She is originally from the Golden State- San Francisco, California! In her spare time, Thea likes to do art projects or play video games.

 

 

 

Why did you choose to work for PD&C? 

“PD&C allows me to work around my school schedule and provides me with professional skills I’ll need later in life.”

 

What has PD&C taught you thus far? 

“PD&C has taught me how important it is to communicate with those you work with.”

 

Why did you choose this specific area in PD&C? 

“It was a great way to get involved with a leadership position and take on more responsibility.”

 

What are the top 5 things to know about you? 

  1. I want to adopt every animal I meet

What is your favorite sport or physical activity? 

“Taekwondo!”

 

 

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

“A veterinarian… still chasing that dream.”

“Chocolate and strawberry together.”

 

What is the most fulfilling part of working with PD&C? 

“Getting to eat all the food campus has to offer.”

“The ability to cooperate.”
