MacKenzie Druecke is a Barista at Catalyst Cafe located in the Wetherill Building. She is originally from Big Bend, Wisconsin. MacKenzie has worked with Purdue Dining & Catering for four years. In fact, she has worked for Catalyst all four years! Part of her job consists of customer service, re-stocking, making the orders, and closing the cafe. MacKenzie is a Senior planning to graduate this coming May in Mathematics and Computer Science. She recently accepted a job offer as a Data Analytics Consultant for a company in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Why did you choose to work for PD&C?
“Back home, I worked at my mom’s coffee shop so I knew I wanted to work with coffee once I came to college.”
What opportunities has PD&C given you?
“I’ve been able to meet a lot of people and gain work experience- not to mention answers to interview questions.”
What are the top 5 things to know about you?
- I’ve been making coffee for 7 years
- I love cats
- I love reading (fiction and fantasy)

“I used to like the Spring, but then I came to Indiana and it rains too much so I like the Fall now.”
What do you like to do in your downtime?
“I like to just relax and cook!”

“Windsor.”
What is the most important personal attribute that you bring to your job?
“I love what I’m doing- I’m always happy at work because I love working at Catalyst.”
