DeAndrea has been with PD&C since her freshman year. She originally worked for Lemongrass and Urban Market. Afterwards, she transitioned to become a Student Success Intern for PD&C. She helps with recruitment and is responsible for assisting with projects to increase the productivity of different dining operations. DeAndrea is now in her senior year and plans to pursue government work in Indianapolis!
What is your favorite part of your job?
“I get to work with a lot of different people. These interactions have awarded me with my current communication skills”.
What’s your most significant experience at Purdue?
“I received an A in one of the most challenging classes that I’ve ever taken. I stayed up for 48 hours straight studying for an exam. It taught me that even the most challenging experiences can be rewarding”.
What is the best advice you’ve ever gotten?
“Dream it first. Do it second”.
What song represents you as a person?
“‘Man in the Mirror’ by Michael Jackson. It’s a classic”. DeAndrea also appreciates that it has a message that inspires people to be self reflective.
What’s your favorite television show?
“At this moment, it’s ‘Orange is the New Black'”.
What’s your dream car?
“Hybrid KIA because its engine is efficient and offers up-to-date operating systems, while looking like a sports car. It’s also affordable on a budget!”
