Marissa is from Terre Haute, Indiana and is the Student Supervisor at Fuel in the Corec. We’re a bit sad that she will be graduating this spring and leaving us for her next great leap!

Can you tell us what you’re majoring in?
I’m majoring in Health Science with a concentration in Pre-Dental and I am minoring in Chemistry.
Sounds like you’ve had a busy time here at Purdue! Can you also tell us what you do as a Student Supervisor at Fuel?
I help oversee the operation to make sure everything is running smoothly. We have tasks sheets to complete every shift so I help get things done before the next shift starts or to close for the day.
If you have things to do then lets do a round of fast questions. What’s your favorite rice bowl to get from fuel?
Ooooohh probably the Mexican rice bowl!
Favorite smoothie?
I like the Super Red smoothie! It has a lot of fruits and vegetables I like and it’s healthy for me.
Are there any new items we should look out for and try?
All our rice bowls are pretty new but we just got meatless options for our rice bowls! We also have new protein bars and Body Armor flavors so come check those out too.
One type of food you really want to try?
Authentic NYC Pizza. I really love pizza
What do you do when you’re not working or studying?
Hanging out with my friends and I love going to basketball games or going out to eat!
Do you work out and if yes, what do you do?
Yes, its easy since I work here at Fuel so it encourages me. Mostly I do cardio on the treadmill or stair climber. I also take the Group X classes!
What will you be doing for spring break?
Possibly going to Florida with some of my sorority sisters!
Sounds like you guys are planning a great trip! Now, were going to slow down a bit. Can you tell us about your plans after graduating?
I will take some time off to relax but I will begin attending IU School of Dentistry starting in July
Wow, what a betrayal going from Purdue to IU! We’re kidding of course, how long will the program take?
Actually, I am going to be attending the program at IUPUI if that makes it a little better. The program will take me another 4 years so 2024 is the year to look forward to!
We all wish you the very best Marissa! You’ll do great and be a dentist in no time so thank you for taking the time to talk with us.
Is love in the air this week? We, at PD&C, sure love making great food for everyone on campus so make sure to eat good food and stay healthy!
