First Year Student Success
The First-Year Student Success Award is awarded to a Dining & Culinary student employee that is a freshman that shows great potential for growth and had started at work prior to September 15.
Austin Martinez
Austin has been nominated by Sierra Morin due to his strong work ethic in every shift. Sierra described Austin as “a great example of the leadership qualities we expect of our student supervisors. He continuously works extra shifts including our early morning prep shifts. He also takes the initiative to show new employees around on their first day through our buddy system. Austin’s positive attitude in addition to his attention to detail is a great asset in training new employees along with our Student Cooks in Training… Austin’s dedication to Windsor as an associate was impressive, and I am even more confident he will continue to shine as a Student Supervisor”.
