Finals are right around the corner so we know you’re in need of some good food, snacks, and energy boosters! Purdue’s campus is full of amazing places you can use your Meal Swipes, Dining Dollars, and PDQ Swipes that you may not have visited. Here are some of our favorites to find the variety we need.
Cafés
Our cafés offer amazing coffee and teas as well as fresh baked pastries, but they have so much more to offer! We’re highlighting Undergrounds, Catayst, and Continuum Cafe to let you know what you can get.
1. Undergrounds
Located in the Hicks Undergraduate Library, Undergrounds is proud to be a quiet place for students to snack and study! They serve seasonal drinks and smoothies on top of soups, grab-and-go items, and more. Undergrounds is also all student-run so come support your fellow Boilermakers!
2. Catalyst
Drop by the Catalyst Café in Wetherill as they offer Panda Express Bowls and Chick Fil A on certain days! They also serve grab-and-go salads and sandwiches that would pair well with any drink you want.
3. Continuum
Come to Lynn Hall in the College of Veterinary Medicine on the south side of campus for Continuum Café! They make made to order sandwiches and wraps, soups, bread bowls, fresh fruit and more. If you’re looking for something sweet, they offer Mary Lou donuts and other treats for you to choose from.
Markets
From school supplies to laundry needs or a snack run, Purdue markets offer something different for any event or anytime of the day!
1. 3rd Street
3rd Street Market is perfectly located in the middle of campus with everything you need! Some notable items include being able to customize your drink with the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine, daily soups, and other hot foods. If you’re planning a party, come to 3rd Street for some balloons, cake, decorations, and any other party essentials you may need!
2. Urban Market
Head to Urban Market in the Purdue Memorial Union for fresh food prepared by our Central Production Kitchen! The display right by the register has sandwiches, salads, sushi, fruits, and more. Urban Market also offers a cereal bar, make your own parfait station, and decadent cupcakes, brownies, cake balls, and muffins made by the Purdue Bakeshop! If you’re looking to give a gift, the market also sells flowers and greeting cards for your special someone. Or just come grab a meal, a snack, or a drink then find a table to study!
3. Quick Picks
If you live in Cary Quad or Harrison Hall, you’re a lucky one as we introduced the new Quick Pick this semester. Everyone is welcome to visit the Quick Pick locations as they are open late, 11 AM to 1 AM, and will take Dining Dollars, Boiler Express, and cards! Come grab some pizza, ice cream, chicken wings, chips, candy, or anything for your late night studying needs.
On-the-GO! Locations
OTG offers a great variety from hot to cold meals, snacks, and beverages. Each location offers some of the same amazingly prepped food, but there are differences just for you! Here are some OTG locations to go to for any meal of the day.
1. Ford
If you haven’t heard, Ford is now serving pressed hot sandwiches! They have different options for you to create the ultimate sandwich along with multiple sides and a drink. Residential On-the-Go locations are open 7 AM to 7 PM for those of you in a rush.
2. Knoy
Knoy Hall hosts one of our new Academic On-the-Go locations. They offer Sushi Boss, salads, wraps, sandwiches, soft drinks, and more. There are vegetarian and vegan options so don’t be afraid to visit Knoy or any On-the-Go locations and ask for delicious meals for your dietary needs! Lunch is available 11 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday so stop by for a delicious lunch for a meal swipe!
3. Lilly
Our other new convenient Academic On-the-Go location on campus is in Lilly Hall! Before your early morning class, stop by for some coffee and pastries. Or if your looking for a snack, grab a snack pack for yourself or to share with friends! Breakfast is available 8 AM to 10 AM, Monday through Friday if you’re looking for a great breakfast and to use your Dining Dollars.
